With the recent surge of  COVID-19 confirmed cases , the media, social media and online forums  have been full of many confirmed cases, news, government policies and different kinds of announcements . The  large amount of information  assists us in  knowing the latest updates , however, in the meantime it  may cause information overload.

What can you do if you find yourself in any of the situations mentioned above?

WHO defines Health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being.” Hence, we need to take care of both our physical and mental health and stay in a healthy and comfortable social environment at the same time. You can try to improve both your  physical and mental energy through the following methods and increase your social well-being through technology.

During the epidemic prevention period, people need to keep social distance,  which may make them  feel lonely or isolated. Therefore, we must not only take special  care of ourselves , but we can also  use social media and communication technology to enhance our  social bonds, cross the practical barrier, and bring  hearts closer to fulfill our innate needs for interpersonal affiliation and emotional well-being..

If you are still feeling anxious, please don’t hesitate to seek assistance. The Mental Health and Counseling Center will be there with you as always.
